The Salomon X Ultra Forces Mid is a mid-height reliable deployment boot suitable for both low-vis operations and high-tempo missions requiring agility. The boot combines the agility of a trail running shoe with the stability of a light hiking boot. Equipped with an Advanced Chassis, which provides lateral support and puncture protection underfoot, the boot offers exceptional protection without restricting freedom of movement.

UPPER MATERIAL AND FOOT ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS

The boot's upper is made from a non-reflective material mix that includes anti-debris mesh, PU-coated leather, and single-layer mesh. These materials have been specifically selected to ensure both robustness and flexibility.

ANTI-DEBRIS MESH

The anti-debris mesh is a tightly woven material designed to prevent dirt particles from entering between the foot and the footbed. This feature significantly contributes to comfort and hygiene inside the shoe during wear in various challenging terrains.

PU-COATED LEATHER

The PU-coated leather enhances the boot's surface, offering improved protection against wear and thus increasing the shoe's durability. This coating also helps to make the boot as water-resistant and easy to care for as possible, making it ideal for use in extreme conditions.

OPTIMIZED OVERALL CONSTRUCTION

SENSIFIT SYSTEM

The Salomon SensiFit system wraps around the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, precise, and almost custom fit. These features support rapid climbing or rappelling and provide additional stability.

GUSSETED TONGUE

The gusseted tongue, attached to the upper on both sides, effectively prevents dirt and stones from entering the boot. It also helps keep the tongue centered, which enhances wearing comfort and improves fit.

INTERNAL REINFORCEMENT AND PROTECTION

The boot is additionally reinforced inside to provide optimal support during dynamic movements. A protective toecap and a wraparound mudguard made of leather, synthetic, or rubber effectively protect the lateral and medial sides of the foot from impacts and dirt.

CLOSED HOOKS AND LACE POCKET

The closed hooks reduce the risk of laces catching on external objects, particularly in dense terrain or during rapid movements. The lace pocket provides a practical solution for storing excess lace lengths, keeping the laces secure and tidy to ensure trip-free walking.

The outsole is equipped with Contagrip Chevron Lugs that offer multidirectional grip, improving traction on soft surfaces like mud or loose dirt. INSOLE

The OrthoLite insole complements the boot's comfortable equipment. It not only provides immediate comfort but also enhanced durability and is breathable. The insole also helps control moisture and odors, ensuring a pleasant foot climate over extended wearing periods.

PUNCTURE PROTECTION

The Enigma Zero HT2 anti-puncture insert, a woven, non-metallic layer, provides reliable protection against sharp objects penetrating the sole without compromising the boot's flexibility or overall weight.
